PhD Position - In-vivo Neurophysiology : Tuebingen, Germany
The newly established lab of Andrea Burgalossi at the Werner Reichardt Centre for Integrative Neuroscience (CIN) in Tübingen is looking for one PhD student in the field of
Neural Circuits, Synaptic Physiology and Behaviour
Our research is focused on determining the cellular and synaptic basis of behaviour. To this end, we employ state-of-the-art methods for recording intracellularly and juxtacellularly from single neurons in freely-behaving animals, in combination with anatomical, molecular and optogenetic techniques.
The successful candidate will explore the circuit structure and synaptic mechanisms involved in spatial cognitive behaviours, and more generally in learning and memory. He/she will join a team of young and enthusiastic members in the dynamic scientific environment of CIN (http://www.cin.uni-tuebingen.de).
Applications should contain CV and names of at least two referees. Please send your application electronically to Andrea Burgalossi (andrea.burgalossi@cin.uni-tuebingen.de).
