Postdoctoral Position in Systems Biology of Small Molecules : Munich, Germany
The Systems Biology of Small Molecules group at the Helmholtz Zentrum München is seeking a postdoctoral candidate. The ideal candidate will hold a PhD in computational or life science disciplines with programming skills, interest on biology and multidisciplinary work and competitive publication record.
The Systems Biology of Small Molecules group at the IBIS institute of the Helmholtz Zentrum München is a young research group dedicated to study the function of small molecules in biological systems, their phenotypic effects, and their role in diseases. We develop computational methods to integrate and interrogate existing biological and chemical data. Possible research projects include among others, the analysis of high-throughput chemical screening assays, drug combination treatments and molecular determinants of chemical toxicity and individual drug response.
The position is available initially until September 2015 with a standard public service salary (TVöD EG 13). During this period, the successful candidate is expected to apply for external funding
