Postdoc in Proteomics (E 13 TV-L) (Dresden)

At TU Dresden, Centre for Innovation Competence B CUBE, the
position of a

Postdoc in Proteomics (E 13 TV-L)

is available immediately. The position (full time) is initially limited until 31
March 2016 with the possibility of extension for at least two more years.
The period of employment is governed by § 2 Fixed Term Research
Contracts Act (Wissenschaftszeitvertragsgesetz - WissZeitVG).
Tasks: The main responsibility will be to develop and lead the proteomics facility at B CUBE including the general management of the facility with daily and long-term organization, instrument maintenance, and all aspects of proteomics analysis, e.g. experimental design, sample preparation, data acquisition and data interpretation.
Requirements: PhD degree and post-doctoral experience or equivalent in
proteomics and mass spectrometry. Qualifications should include hands-on experience with LC-MS/MS, protein and peptide purification/fractionation, and other essential proteomics techniques. Prior experience with quantitative proteomics and bioinformatics is highly valued. Strong writing
skills with a proven track record of successful research and publication is essential. Excellent communication skills in English are essential as this is the colloquial language at the research center.
