The research group translational bioinformatics in psychiatry is looking for a
Post-doc (m/f)
(full-time)
with primary focus on multivariate statistics for identification and validation of multimodal signatures of psychiatric disorders. The position is initially limited to 2 years.
The position entails amongst other things:
-Development of novel statistical methods for identification of multivariate biological signatures of psychiatric disorders
-Development of translational methods for optimal integration of data with different modalities.
-Writing of scientific publications and grant applications
Requirements:
-Excellent PhD in (bio-) statistics / bioinformatics / applied mathematics as well as publications in the field of statistical method development
-Very good knowledge of machine learning and experience in the analysis of high-dimensional data
-Very good statistical programming skills (especially in R)
-Enthusiasm for independent scientific research, publication writing and demanding statistical analysis tasks.
-Several years of experience in statistical data analysis (preferentially in the field of genetics)
-Experience with databases very desirable
-Talent in organization and ability to work in a team
-Command of the German language is not required
