A three year postdoctoral position available in the biophysics of microorganisms team at the laboratory Jean Perrin (http://www.labos.upmc.fr/ljp/), University P6. The project focuses on investigating the mutation rate dynamic on the single cell level using the first real-time method for mutation detection in individual cells that we developed recently1. Mutations as detected as fluorescent MutL foci1 in cells growing in microfluidic chips during hundreds of generations under controlled conditions2. The candidate should have a background in biology, biophysics, or physics and should send a CV, a description of research interests and the contact details of two references to Marina Elez (marina.elez3@gmail.com).
