Postdoc - Pediatric Neurooncology (Düsseldorf)
The German Cancer Consortium (DKTK) Research Group (Head Dr. Marc Remke) at the Department of Pediatric Oncology, Hematology and Clinical Immunology, Heinrich Heine University Düsseldorf is seeking a
Research Fellow/ Post-doc (Full-Time)
for 3 years with possibility of prolongment.
The project “Unraveling medulloblastoma biology by proteogenomics” is focused on integrative analyses of genome- and proteome-wide alterations in primary medulloblastoma tissue samples. This tumor entity constitutes the most common malignant brain tumor in childhood. We aim to identify novel biomarkers to improve risk stratification in the context of established therapies and to develop novel molecular-based targeted therapies. Our research group “Pediatric Neuro-Oncogenomics” was recently established within the German Cancer Consortium (DKTK) and is affiliated with the German Cancer Research Center and the Heinrich-Heine University Düsseldorf.
Requirements: Doctoral degree in Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry or Molecular Biology, excellent experimental experience in tumor biology, (tumor) genomics / proteomics, neurobiology or cell biology and very good command of English. Desirable are experiences in bioinformatics and biostatistics.

The salary will be according to the provisions of the German collective labor agreement (TV-L up to EG 13).
The contract will be affiliated with University Hospital Düsseldorf.
