The Institute of Clinical Sciences, Department of Suregry at the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg invites applications for a postdoctoral position in cancer research, with placement in the Sahlgrenska Translational Melanoma Group (www.satmeg.se) at the Sahlgrenska Cancer Center. The research group has a strong desire to translate basic research findings into new and innovative clinical trials.

Job assignments
The post-doctoral research project aims mainly at developing and validating accurate models or treatments for malignant melanoma.
Eligibility
An achieved doctoral degree in relevant subject such as tumor biology/immunology, chemistry or medicine is compulsory for the position as postdoctor. Since a position as postdoctor aims to give new holders of the doctorate the opportunity mainly to strengthen and develop their scholarly proficiency, we aim for those who have a doctoral degree not older than 3 years counting from last date of application deadline
Assessment
The successful post doctor candidate should have a strong theoretical background or interest in the field of cancer research, extensive practical laboratory experience, and experience in working with either animal models of cancer or early-stage drug development. Other important qualities include a strong self-motivation, good interpersonal skills, and fluency in writing and speaking English.
