The Institute of Plant Biochemistry (IPB), a member of the Leibniz Association, is an international research institute located on the Weinberg-Campus of the Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (MLU). The IPB is a foundation under public law.
The IPB-Department of Molecular Signal Processing invites applications to fill the position of
Research Group Leader
We are seeking applications by outstanding candidates with postdoctoral experience, a strong track record of original research contributions, and a proven ability to attract fellowships or extramural funding. Candidates are expected to develop an internationally competitive research program that is compatible with the general theme of the department, and to collaborate with research groups at the IPB and MLU. The focus of the department is to understand how plants perceive, transmit and integrate information about their environment and execute adaptive metabolic and developmental response.
The position will be initially limited to 5 years with the possibility of extension after positive review, and will be supported by one technical assistant, by funding of the first PhD student (4 years), and by funds for consumables. Free access to growth chambers, greenhouses, and state-of-the-art scientific equipment in the IPB and department will be guaranteed.

The salary and social benefits will be based on TV-L (E14 or E15, depending on academic qualifications).
