The Cologne Cluster of Excellence in Cellular Stress Responses in Aging-associated Diseases provides an extremely dynamic environment for research into the aging process and related diseases. Our aim is to understand the molecular mechanisms underlying the aging process and thereby facilitate the development of new therapies for aging-associated diseases such as cancer, diabetes and neurodegenerative disorders.

Postdoctoral Researcher m/f
The employment is initially limited by one year with the possibility of an extension.
The research group of Prof. Dr. Andreas Beyer is conducting highly competitive research in the area of systems biology together with strong national and international partners. The excellent setup in Cologne allows for addressing exciting basic biology questions and tackling translational aspects.
Responsibilities:
The postdoctoral fellow will conduct independent research with a focus on computational methods applied to systems biology and/or systems medicine questions. Innovative research shall be conducted in close interaction with our experimental and clinical partners.
Requirements:
We are seeking a creative, highly motivated researcher with a track record of peer reviewed publications. Candidates must have a strong quantitative background and have received, or are soon expecting, a Ph.D. degree in relevant areas, including Biology, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science or Engineering.
Your salary will be based on TV-L.
