Postdoctoral position available Cellular and Mucosal Immunology: Philadelphia, PA, United States
Post-doctoral position at the University of Pennsylvania to study the regulation of mucosal tolerance.
A post-doctoral position is available immediately to study the regulation of intestinal tolerance mediated by effector and regulatory CD4+ T cells. We utilize knock-out and transgenic approaches, cellular techniques, and molecular profiling to understand how CD4+ T cells mediate intestinal homeostasis. Current work specifically focuses on the establishment of a unique niche for regulatory T cells in the intestinal lamina propria (Cell Reports (2014), 9:1567-73). Applicants must have an MD or PhD granted within the past five years; a background in Immunology and experience handling animals is desirable. Trainees will become part of a highly interactive lab within the rich scientific environment of the University of Pennsylvania campus. Applicants should send a CV, statement of research interests, and names of three referees to tlaufer@mail.med.upenn.edu.
