.The project “Biological Production of Adipic Acid from Biomass-derived Sugars” is included in the “Biomass-to-Biochemicals Program”, which is funded for a period of 3 years by the Science and Engineering Research Council (SERC) of the Agency for Science, Technology and Research (A*STAR). This project will focus on engineering a synthetic pathway in yeast host for adipic acid production. The main work will include engineering of the key enzymes, blocking the side pathway by gene deletion and optimizing the adipic acid synthetic pathway.
