PhD position (m/f) in proteomic analysis of oxidative cellular stress: Dortmund, Germany

In the group Systems Analysis at ISAS Dortmund you will be responsible for:

  • Examination of oxidative-stress related protein changes that might contribute to the pathogenesis of ischemic diseases, diabetes, inflammation and other lifestyle-related diseases
  • Development of methods for analysis of post-translational modifications (PTMs) and proteinprotein interactions
  • Performing mass-spectrometry (MS) based quantification of PTMs in biological samples as well as analysis and interpretation of MS data
  • Assisting in supervision and maintenance of a nLC-MS/MS system

Your profile

  • Masters, Diploma or equivalent degree in Biochemistry, Biology or Chemistry
  • Strong background and/or interest in analytical chemistry, MS, proteomics and statistical data analysis
  • Experience with protein separation and purification techniques
  • A strong interest in elucidation of cell signaling events by MS analysis would be required.

The salary will be according to the German TV-L. This position is a part-time work (60%) and is offered for three years. The position is available immediately.
