PhD position (m/f) in proteomic analysis of oxidative cellular stress: Dortmund, Germany
In the group Systems Analysis at ISAS Dortmund you will be responsible for:
- Examination of oxidative-stress related protein changes that might contribute to the pathogenesis of ischemic diseases, diabetes, inflammation and other lifestyle-related diseases
- Development of methods for analysis of post-translational modifications (PTMs) and proteinprotein interactions
- Performing mass-spectrometry (MS) based quantification of PTMs in biological samples as well as analysis and interpretation of MS data
- Assisting in supervision and maintenance of a nLC-MS/MS system
Your profile
- Masters, Diploma or equivalent degree in Biochemistry, Biology or Chemistry
- Strong background and/or interest in analytical chemistry, MS, proteomics and statistical data analysis
- Experience with protein separation and purification techniques
- A strong interest in elucidation of cell signaling events by MS analysis would be required.
