Methods:
Methods for iPSC generation and all relevant techniques are established in the lab (including culture expansion, differentiation assays, flow cytometry, immunofluorescence and confocal microscopy, qRT-PCR, blotting techniques, genetic modifications, microarray platforms, and epigenetic analysis with deep sequencing technology.

We are looking for a motivated and ambitious PhD student with a strong background in cell biology. Experience in stem cell biology would be appreciated. Willingness for teamwork is a prerequisite.
We offer a highly interactive and well equipped environment in a team with national and international partners, a broad spectrum of methods and a relevant topic. The position is funded by the German Reseach Foundation within the “Schwerpunktprogramm spp1327” in a collaborative project with the Fraunhofer Institute for Laser Technology (http://www.ilt.fraunhofer.de/). Funding is permitted for the duration of three years (TV-L E13/2) and we would like to start the project in November or December 2012.
