Research Assistant Professor | Pancreatic beta-cell : Philadelphia, PA, United States
The Department of Genetics at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. The successful applicant will have experience in the field of cell and molecular biology as applied to research in molecular genetics as it pertains to the pancreatic beta-cell, its development, and control of replication. Responsibilities include conducting experiments related to biology and genomics of pathways involved in beta-cell replication and function, coordinating NIH-funded grant efforts with international collaborators, supervision of postdoctoral fellows, students, and research staff, and participation in writing grants and manuscripts. Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree and have demonstrated excellent qualifications in research.
Applicants must have demonstrated substantial experience in biomedical bench research, publication of research results, and communication skills.
