PhD Position in the Field of Drug Transporters in ADME and Renal Cell Culture Models : Odense, Denmark
The Department of Physics, Chemistry and Pharmacy at the University of Southern Denmark is announcing a PhD position in the field of Drug transporters in ADME and renal cell culture models.
The successful applicant will be responsible for investigating drug transporter expression in various models of the renal epithelium as well as performing transporter studies across epithelial cells and investigating functional aspects of drug transporters in renal tissues
The project involves close collaboration with industry and academia abroad which implies close collaboration and knowledge sharing between the project researches. The successful candidate should be able to work independently with cell cultures and hold documented experience in working with in vitro models of biological barriers. Essential is experience in a range of molecular and cellular biology techniques including preparation and maintenance of kidney cell cultures, PCR-based techniques, immunoblotting and functional transporter studies. Experience with and understanding of drug transporters and pharmaceutical sciences is an advantage and so is a strong background in either or both pharmacy and molecular biology. Excellent exams and research experience are a prerequisite for application submission.
Applicants are expected to be highly motivated, reliable and interested in working in an interdisciplinary and international environment. Finally, a good command of English is a requirement.
