The main research of our laboratory is related to the development of novel fluorescent and bioluminescent genetically encoded indicators and the development of new microscopy techniques.

Our model working objects include: HeLa, Dyctiostelium, Arabidopsis,
Danio, Mus, etc.
Requirements for candidates:
- Good molecular biology skills and/or good biochemistry skills and/or
good skills in optics
- Ability to communicate in English (or Japanese)
- A short (1-2 pages maximum) introduction about yourself written in English, including your research experience, publications (if any) and a brief research proposal. Please include additional skills.
- 1 (One) reference letter written in English.
MS and PhD courses start on April and September every year.
