Post-doctoral positions are available for highly motivated candidates with a background in cell signaling, structural biology and mechanistic cancer research to work in newly established laboratories in the Yale Cancer Biology Institute. The Institute current includes the laboratories of Kathryn Ferguson, Irit Lax, Bryce Nelson, and the Institute Directors Mark Lemmon and Joseph Schlessinger. Those appointed will join a diverse research team seeking to elucidate the molecular mechanisms regulating signaling by receptor tyrosine kinases in both normal and oncogenic cells – and approaches for pharmacological intervention when these mechanisms go awry.
The Yale Cancer Biology Institute (CBI) is one of seven newly formed multidisciplinary research institutes at Yale’s West Campus, a 136 acre parcel located 7 miles from Yale’s New Haven campus that includes 20 buildings and 1.6 million square feet of research, office, and warehousing space. CBI’s immediate neighbors include the Institute of Chemical Biology, the Microbial Sciences Institute, the Institute of Systems Biology, and the Institute of Biodesign, as well as core facilities in high throughput cell biology, small molecule discovery, imaging, high-performance computing, and genomic analysis.
Full applications, including curriculum vitae, preferred laboratory, names of two to three references, and expected availability, should be submitted to Mark Lemmon c/o Nathan Kucera, Yale Medical School, 333 Cedar Street SHM B295 New Haven, CT 06510, email: nathan.kucera@yale.edu…
