Role of mast cells in the tumor microenvironment (Luebeck)

A research position for a PhD student (TVL-E13/65%) is available in the lab of Prof. Dr. Karin Hartmann, Department of Dermatology, University of Luebeck, Germany (http://www.derma.uni-luebeck.de/Forschung/Koordinierte+Programme.html). The position is initially supported for 36 months by the University of Luebeck. Prolongation will be possible.

The successful candidate will join a young and still growing team and will participate in the analysis of the role of mast cells in the tumor microenvironment using recently established mouse models. We employ a wide range of techniques, including generation and analysis of conditional mouse models, immunohistochemistry, primary cell isolation, cell culture, RT-PCR, Southern blotting, Western blotting and flow cytometry.

We are looking for a highly motivated scientist holding a M.Sc. or diploma degree in biology, biomedicine, pharmaceutical sciences, biochemistry or related fields. Prior experience with mouse models or cell biology is an advantage.
