Postdoctoral Researcher - Identification and Analysis of Inter-domain Communication through NMR : Leuven, Belgium

We are seeking an international post-doctoral scientist with experience in protein purification, biophysical characterization of protein ligand interaction, but especially in NMR structure determination and relaxation within the context of an interdisciplinary project studying human SH3-SH2 domain combinations.

The project milestones are ambitious and will thus require a self-motivated, skillful scientist in order to make an essential contribution to the project. You will have a strong academic track record with several years of experience in protein biochemistry and/or structural biology. You will work in a multidisciplinary, international team requiring good communication skills.

Profile
​An ideal applicant should:

Hold PhD in Structural Biology, Biophysics/Physics or Biochemistry
Have experience in working with protein (SH3 and/or SH2) domains
Have experience in NMR spectroscopy (data recording, processing and analysis, protein assignment, dynamics, protein structure calculation)
Have experience in other biophysical methods studying interactions such as isothermal titration calorimetry (ITC)
Have experience in computational methods such as molecular docking
Be prepared to travel
Contribute to the scientific output of the department by publishing high quality manuscripts and by representing the group on scientific meetings
Be able to work as part of a team and to collaborate with colleagues on a range of diverse projects
Ambitious and passionate about research
Have good command of oral and written English
