The Leibniz-Institute for Molecular Pharmacology (FMP) belongs to the „Forschungsverbund Berlin e. V. (FVB)“. The FVB is an institution of eight natural sciences research institutes in Berlin funded by the Federal Republic of Germany and the association of its federal states. The research institutes are members of the Leibniz association.
In the Department of “ NMR-Supported Structural Biology” is a
Technical Assistant position available for 18 month. The position can be part-time for 18 month or full-time for shorter period.
The starting date is as soon as possible.
Job description:
The successful candidate will be responsible for: i) isolation of plasmid DNA, ii) expression and purification of recombinant proteins (histones) from E.Coli cells and iii) in-vitro reconstitution of nucleosome core particles to be used for functional and structural studies.
Requirements:
Applicants should be a Technical Assistant with good knowledge of recombinant DNA technology. The candidate must be excellent, highly motivated and self-driven, and able to work both independently and in a research team. Fluency in English and excellent communication skills are a strong requirement.
