Post-doctoral positions are available in the team directed by Dr Frédéric Relaix at Mondor Institute of Biomedical Research (IMRB) in Paris, France. This large translational team include 5 research groups interested in (1) regulation of muscle stem cells biology during skeletal muscle growth, regeneration and aging (2) Interactions of muscle stem cells with their environment, including environmental stress and hypoxia, (3) clinical research in neuromuscular disorders and sarcopenia, (4) Preclinical modelling and therapeutic research in sketetal muscle diseases, (5) skeletal muscle tissue engineering,
Salary are available, however the candidates are expected to be competitive and to be able to obtain their own independent financing. Selected candidates are expected to start immediately.
A PhD with a strong background in molecular biology, and/or mouse molecular genetics, stem cell biology, skeletal muscle (both fundamental biology and clinical research), tissue engineering is strongly advised. Selected candidates should be enthusiastic and highly motivated to work in a dynamic and well-funded scientific environment. Scientific English is required, and foreign candidates (notably EC members) are encouraged to apply.
