PhD position (m/f)
for advanced volumetric myocardial motion quantification. Aim of the thesis will be the translation of our recent work to full volumetric cardiac coverage for translational research projects from mice to man.
Our expertise includes imaging from the small animal model to clinical application especially in the field of thoracic and cardiac imaging. The position will be in a highly interdisciplinary environment including cooperation with local, national and international groups. Our experimental cardiovascular MRI group (ExCaVI) is located within the University Medical Center of Ulm University. Access is granted to a clinical whole-body 1.5T system and an experimental whole-body 3T system. Both systems are equipped with latest state-of-the art hardware including 32-channel receive coils. Further access is granted to a dedicated small animal 11.7T systems equipped with cryocoils and dedicated receive coils for thoracic and cardiac imaging.
Your profile:
• master degree in physics or engineering
• solid mathematical background
• sound programming skills (Matlab, C++)
• affinity to interdisciplinary research
The experimental cardiovascular MRI group of Ulm University is also offering a
Postdoctoral research fellow (m/f)
for further developing the research program in the field of dental imaging. The primary responsibility of the postdoctoral research fellow will be supervising and further develop the ongoing research activities in the field of dental MRI. This will especially include further development of dedicated imaging and reconstruction techniques, and the support for ongoing and future clinical trials.
