A Post-Doc position is available at the Department of Infection Biology, University Clinic Erlangen, Germany. The project is funded by the European Research Council and addresses the mechanisms that allow persistence of allergic sensitization in vivo. A murine helminth infection model will be used to characterize development and turnover of IgE producing B cells and their interaction with other cells in vivo. Techniques include flow cytometry, adoptive cell transfers, histology, deep sequencing and generation of a new knock-in mouse. We are looking for a highly motivated candidate with a strong background in cellular and molecular immunology. Appointments will be for up to 2 years and salary will be according to TV-L E13 (about 50.000 Euro/year before taxes).
