A PhD student position is available at the Division of Vascular Inflammation, Diabetes and Kidney of the Department of Medicine, University Clinic Dresden, Technical University of Dresden.

The biomedical campus of the Technical University Dresden provides an excellent research environment in Molecular Biosciences including the Medizinisch Theoreotisches Zentrum (MTZ) and the DFG Research Center and Cluster of Excellence, Center for Regenerative Therapies.

Our group focuses at the crosstalk between Immunology and Metabolic Diseases. Experimental studies will be conducted in the field of immunology/vascular inflammation in the context of metabolic diseases, particularly studying the inflammatory response in the course of pancreatic islet xenotransplantation.
