The University of Regensburg and the Bavarian Center for Molecular Biosystems (BioSysNet) is inviting applications for PhD and Postdoc positions in post-transcriptional regulation of gene Expression BioSysNet (www.biosysnet.de) pools and strengthens biosystems research in Bavaria, including a network for molecular biosystems (BioSysM) that will encompass up to 25 projects at different universities and clinics. The Center aims to train a new generation of researchers that think interdisciplinary and will decisively shape the future of life sciences in Germany and Europe.
We seek exceptionally endowed candidates for PhD and Postdoc positions with a strong background in molecular biology and biochemistry to the earliest possible date. Expertise in tissue culture and bioinformatic skills are desired.
Successful candidates will be part of a young research team located at the University of Regensburg, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

We offer a well equipped research environment with access to all modern technology including mass spectrometry, confocal microscopy and deep sequencing. Our aim is to understand in molecular detail how RNA-binding proteins and small upstream open reading frames control translation in eukaryotic organisms. PhD students will have access to the Regensburg International Graduate School of Life Sciences (RIGeL).
