Transplantation Biology and Tumor immunology Post-Doctoral Scientist: Indianapolis, IN, United States

Job Description:
A world-renowned laboratory studying the biology of hematopoietic cell transplantation and tumor immunology is recruiting a highly motivated, experienced post-doctoral fellow to join a closely integrated team. Our group is building projects with new small molecules based on discovery of novel targets as well as new generation of cell-based immunotherapies.

Requirements:

- PhD with substantial hands-on research experience in immunology and/or cell biology
- Hands-on expertise with tissue culture of cell lines and primary cells, in particular primary human T-cells and/or PBMCs
- Experience with multicolor flow cytometry as well as data analysis using FlowJo software
- Experience in immunology techniques including ELISpot assays, ELISAs, colony forming unit (CFU) assay, flow-based cytokine determination, cellular proliferation and cytotoxicity assays
- Familiarity with standard molecular biology methods
- Experience with animal models of bone marrow transplantation
- Meticulous at planning, executing, and organizing the results for large scale assays
- S/he must also be capable of taking initiative, work independently and in a collaborative setting
- A good publication record in recognized peer-reviewed journals
- Excellent written and verbal (English) communication skills are required, as are excellent organizational skills and knowledge of proper scientific record keeping
- Comfortable in a fast-paced environment and able to adjust workload based upon changing priorities

Compensation: Salary according to the NIH scale + excellent benefits
