The DFG Research Center for Regenerative Therapies Dresden, ( CRTD) (www.crt-dresden.de) and Cluster of Excellence forms a network of more than 90 research groups working in the areas of Haematology, Diabetes, Neurodegenerative diseases as well as bone regeneration. The CRTD offers a position for an outstanding applicant with international scientific qualification for a Chair (W3) of Stem Cell Research in Mammals
The aim of the chair is to pursue basic research in the field of mammalian stem cell research, with particular interest in the application of reprogramming, iPS and ES-cell technologies in animal
models and/or tissue cultures in the research areas of the CRTD, and to further develop these into translational applications. The candidate is expected to represent the research area in its full
spectrum in academic teaching. The candidate is encouraged to cooperate with research groups at the CRTD, the university hospital Carl Gustav Carus, the Technische Universitaet Dresden, the Collaborative Research Centre 655 "Cells into Tissues" (www.sfb655.de), the Biotechnology Centre (www.biotec.tu-desden.de) and the "Dresden International Graduate School for Biomedicine and Bioengineering". Applicants must have a university degree in natural or medical sciences and a habilitation or equivalent outstanding record of research and teaching achievements and fulfill the employment qualification requirements of the Act Governing Academic Freedom in Higher Education in the Free State of Saxony (Saxon Academic Freedom in Higher Education Act SaechsHSFG, namely of õ 58
