SCIENCE-JOBS-DE

The role of cross-talk between skin keratinocytes and antigen-presenting cells on the activation of the latter.

PhD Position at the Department of Environmental Toxicology

Our team concentrates on the identification and characterization of allergic sensitization to chemicals and biological allergens. The focus lies on the analysis of the innate and adaptive response in humans. Furthermore we develop in vitro models to study their mode of action and for prediction of sensitization potentials without animal experiments.

In this project we will investigate the role of cross-talk between skin keratinocytes and antigen-presenting cells on the activation of the latter. This project concentrates on lipophilic molecules. This project is embedded in series of other projects with partners in industry and academic institutions (in France, USA, Netherlands, and Luxembourg).

We are looking for a highly motivated PhD Student who is interested to work in this research area.
