PhD student (Naturwissenschaftlichen Doktoranden) (m/f)
Differentiation and Progression of Hepatocellular Carcinoma ā€“ Implications of Prrx1
for the Section of Molecular Hepatology, Department of Medicine II (Director Prof. Dr. Matthias Ebert, Head of Section Prof. Dr. Steven Dooley), starting November 01, 2016
, funded by Sander-Stiftung. The position is limited for 2 years.
Your responsibilities:
        Application of in vivo tumor models of hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC)
        Phenotypical, morphological and molecular investigation of HCC in patients
        Broad spectrum of cell and molecular techniques
        Mechanistic studies in HCC cell lines
        S1 and S2 works

Your profile:
        University degree (Master/Diploma) in Biology, Biochemistry, Vetarinary Medicine, Medicine or a related discipline, coupled with a strong sense of responsibility, skills of independent working and motivation
        Keen interest in hepatology, oncology, and clinically-relevant scientific challenges - as well as team and communication skills
        Experience with animal work
        Sound knowledge of the German and English language
