Postdoctoral Fellow -- Molecular and Cell Biology: Houston, TX, United States
An NIH (R01)-funded postdoctoral position is available in a newly established basic science laboratory at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, Department of Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to investigate mechanisms and function of the dynamic protein lipidation in immunity and cancer.
The candidate should have a PhD degree in biomedical sciences with less than 3 years of postdoctoral experience and a proven record of scientific productivity. Basic skills in molecular and cell biology are expected. Previous training in immunology and/or cancer biology and experience in mouse models is preferred. Duties and responsibilities of the successful candidate will include independent management and development of research projects, collaboration with other research staff, supervision and training of lab members, writing and editing of manuscripts, research presentations at departmental seminars and scientific meetings.
Salary will follow NIH and university guidelines.
