Postdoctoral Research Scientist : New York, NY, United States
Post-doctoral Research Fellow or Scientist position available to study a clonal hematopoietic disease myelodysplastic syndromes (MDS), at the Columbia University Medical Center. MDS are a heterogeneous group of bone marrow disorders of hematopoietic stem cells and their microenvironment that affect primarily the elderly. My lab is concerned with translational research with the major focus on pre-clinical drug testing, genomics, and biomarker discovery. The researcher will have the opportunity to identify and dissect the functional mechanisms that are aberrant in subtypes of MDS patients and to correlate these findings with response to therapy. Candidates for this position should have experience in cellular and or molecular biology techniques.
