Postdoctoral Researcher: Norwich, United Kingdom
Postdoctoral Researcher
Applications are invited for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the Laboratory of Prof. Caroline Dean in the Cell and Developmental Biology department at the John Innes Centre.
A Postdoctoral Researcher position is available to study the mechanism of epigenetic switching at the Arabidopsis locus FLC. This locus provides an excellent system to study fundamental chromatin pathways linking histone modifications, non-coding RNA and transcriptional dynamics. The aim will be to understand what quantitatively regulates FLC expression in the warm, and how it is switched to an epigenetically silent state by cold.
Candidates are required to have a PhD in molecular biology/cell biology, with experience in chromatin analysis and confocal microscopy.
Salary on appointment will be within the range £30,750 to £37,750 per annum depending on qualifications and experience. This post is for a contract of 36 months.
