Postdoctoral Fellowship in the Field of Quantitative Proteomics, Nano-bio Research: Odense M, Denmark
The successful applicant will be responsible for conducting proteomics research to study fundamental cellular responses caused by nanoparticle-protein interactions at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, University of Southern Denmark. Experiments include deep proteomics of cells cultured in an in vitro blood-brain barrier model as well as characterization of proteins attached to various nanoparticles.
Extensive experience with mass spectrometry-based quantitative proteomics is a prerequisite for application. Knowledge on data-processing and bioinformatics is an advantage. In addition, a strong background in one or more of the following fields: chemistry, cell biology or molecular biology as well as excellent exams are a prerequisite for application submission.
The project is part of a major ERC grant (grant agreement no 646603) which implies close collaboration and knowledge sharing between other project researches. Related to this project are scientists involved in bioimaging and neurobiology. The position is for up to three years. Applicants are expected to be highly motivated, reliable and interested in working in an interdisciplinary and international environment. Finally, a good command of English is a requirement.
