Postdoc Position in Cancer Immunotherapy at DTU Nanotech : 2800 Kgs. Lyngby, Denmark
Two Postdoc positions are available in the Colloids & Biological Interface group at DTU Nanotech within the field of cancer immunotherapy.
The purpose of the positions is to be part of a highly driven and cross-disciplinary research environment consisting of skilled researchers with a strong background in immunology and cancer therapy. The focus of the project is to combine advanced drug delivery formulations formulations for immunotherapy with current standard cancer therapeutic treatment striving to achieve better curative therapeutic regimes.
Qualifications
The candidates should preferably have a strong background in tumor immunology and cancer immunotherapy. In addition hands-on-experience with mouse models is a requirement and experience with flow cytometry is highly desirable. We aim to target and modulate T cell responses through vaccine like activation of antigen presenting cells. The projects focus on design of optimal treatment regimes utilizing the outcomes of efficacy studies and assessments of the tumor microenvironment profile.
The applicants should hold a PhD degree in a relevant field, preferably within immunology and should have a strong interest in working experimentally in a cross-disciplinary environment and have very good collaboration skills.
Strong communication skills are an advantage and a strong academic record is a requirement. Applicants should strive towards scientific excellence, be ambitious and hard working. Salary and terms of employment
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed with the relevant union.
The duration of the position is 1 year or 3 years with the possibility to extend further depending on the experience of the successful candidate.
