Postdoctoral and Research Scientist Positions in Antibody Engineering: New York, NY, United States
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center
The research team led by Nai-Kong V. Cheung MD PhD works on developing the next generation of antibody therapeutics to treat pediatric and adult tumors. Several strategies are utilized to enhance anti-tumor potency, including the use of T cell engaging bispecific antibody formats and novel methods to enhance cytotoxic payload delivery. Antibody therapeutics are optimized using experimental techniques (phage and yeast display), recombinantly expressed and purified, tested for binding and stability by biophysical methods (biacore, SEC-HPLC, calorimetry), tested for in vitro potency on cell culture models, and then tested for in vivo potency in mouse xenograft models. This laboratory collaborates with other researchers at MSK in cell therapy and in nuclear medicine. Several projects involve academic/industry partnerships with the goal of generating lead candidates for first-in-human trials. The goal of the post-doctoral training is to prepare trainees for either academic or industrial careers.
Qualifications: PhD in biochemistry, immunology, biology or related biomedical science field and relevant experience. Successful track record documented by publications in high-impact international peer-reviewed journals.
