SCIENCE-JOBS-DE

PhD position (4 years) in Functional Bioinformatics of Ageing (Oerebro, Sweden)

Oerebro University encourages applications of highly motivated candidates for a PhD position in Bioinformatics of Ageing, fully financed for four years

Within the part "The biology of ageing"

the group of Functional Bioinformatics at "Orebro University

cooperates with the Institute for Biostatistics and Informatics in

Medicine and Ageing Research at Rostock University

(https://ibima.med.uni-rostock.de/, contact: Prof. Georg Fuellen).

The PhD project will be devoted to further developing a curated network

of ageing-related molecular pathways (see also the associated

EU-project: http://www.h2020awe.eu/)

and to apply this specific perspective for network-informed biosignature search in a number of (multi-)Omics datasets available at the major research environments of biomedical and sport research at "Orebro University:

Nutrition-Gut-Brain Interactions Centre (NGBI:

https://www.oru.se/english/research/research-environments/mh/nutrition-gut-brain-interactions-research-centre-ngbi/),

Inflammatory Response and Infection Susceptibility Centre (iRiSC:

Eligible candidates have a Bioinformatics master, or related education

with a strong programming, biostatistics, and data modelling focus, as

well as experience with data analysis in datasets of high-throughput molecular or biomedical data.
