The research group Signal Transduction and Stem Cell Biology, at the Clinic of Paediatric Oncology, Haematology and Clinical Immunology, Heinrich-Heine University of Duesseldorf, invites applications for a Ph.D. student position.
The position is according to E13, ½ scale.
Applicants should hold a Diploma / Master Degree in Biology or Biochemistry, from a University in Europe, or an equivalent degree.
Practical and theoretical experience in cellular and molecular biology is expected. Required are also self-motivation, team spirit and strong interest in leukaemia and biomedical research.
Our areas of research are: biology of leukaemia, stem cell biology, signal transduction and gene transcription regulation.
The project aims at providing new insights into the control of gene expression and cell transformation in leukaemia at the molecular level. A spectrum of cell and molecular biology techniques will be applied.
You will join a cooperative and stimulatory working atmosphere with excellent scientific instrumentation.
