The University of Luxembourg is looking for a
Postdoctoral Researcher (PostDoc) in Systems Biomedicine (M/F)
within its Life Sciences Research Unit at the Systems Biology group (Prof Sauter), in collaboration with NorLux Neuro-Oncology Laboratory CRP-Santé (Dr Niclou).
2 year fixed-term contract (renewable one year under justified circumstances) from Jan/Feb 2014 on.

The University of Luxembourg offers the opportunity to apply for a Postdoc research grant in Luxembourg. The grant is directly tied to the candidate. The candidate has to apply for the grant personally. The aims of the Research project “Genome scale metabolic modeling of Glioblastoma multiforme” are to:
- Genome scale reconstruction and literature based curation of a glioblastoma specific metabolic network model
- Multi-omics data integration and visualization
- Disease stratification and synthetic drug target prediction
- Validation experiments with metabolomics applying stable-isotope labeled compounds (in collaboration with the experimental partner)

Profile
- PhD degree in Systems/Computational Biology or similar
- Strong background in systems / computational biology, especially constraint based modeling
- Good background in metabolism and cancer biology
- Working 12 or months in a foreign country preceding the AFR application
- Languages eg.: Excellent working knowledge in English
