The Telomere Dynamics Group (TDG) is a new, major initiative, involving eight investigators in Singapore and many collaborators around the globe that was recently awarded a Singapore Ministry of Education Tier3 grant. By bringing together experts using a multitude of complementing disciplines, we aim to understand the structure, function and pathology of telomeres – one of the ‘final frontiers’ of genome biology.

Description

We are seeking highly motivated post-doctoral fellows and PhD students with a passion for learning and enthusiasm for engaging in challenging research. The broad scope of the programme and flourishing academic environment at NTU and NUS offer a unique scientific experience, with the possibility for researchers to work with in several different disciplines.

Research themes:
• Telomeric chromatin
• Stability & recognition
• DNA guadruplex dynamics
• In vivo regulation of telomere structure

Disciplines:
• Single molecule techniques
• NMR
• X-ray crystallography
• Electron microscopy
• Live cell imaging
• Cell biology

Principal Investigators:
