Project Description:

Our laboratory is studying pancreatic beta-cell biology and its perturbations in type 2 diabetes (www.poitoutlab.ca). This objective of this NIH-funded project is to identify the intracellular signalling pathways implicated in beta-cell proliferation in response to nutrients, using a combination of in vitro and in vivo approaches.

Available: January 2014

Qualifications:

The successful applicant will hold a PhD or equivalent. Experience in rodent models, cell culture and standard techniques in cell and molecular biology is required. Expertise in islet biology and / or glucose homeostasis is preferred. Salary will be determined based on previous experience.
