We are seeking applications for two enthusiastic, highly motivated Post-Docs in the field of Cell Death Signaling & Cancer.
The Institute for Experimental Cancer Research in Pediatrics (Director: Prof. Dr. Simone Fulda) is a newly established institute at the Goethe-University Frankfurt to promote translational cancer research. We study cell death signaling pathways in cancers in order to identify key molecules for the development of new cancer therapeutics and novel prognostic biomarkers (e.g. see Nat Rev Drug Discov, 11, 109-24, 2012; Cell Death Differ, 19, 1337-46, 2012; Leukemia, 26, 1010-9, 2012; Oncogene, 31, 1468-74, 2012.).
The current projects will focus on the elucidation of new cell death signaling pathways in cancer (necroptosis, autophagy) using cancer cell lines, primary tumor samples and mouse tumor models. Successful applicants have the opportunity to participate in our European research networks on apoptosis.
Interested candidates must have a PhD degree in cell/molecular biology. We are seeking candidates who are highly self-motivated to join a young, international and dynamic research team. The positions can be filled immediately, initially for 3 years with the possibility for extension.
