Postdoc in molecular/biochemical neuroscience : Cold Spring Harbor, NY, United States
Postdoctoral positions are available for biochemists, electrophysiologists, molecular neuroscientists or structural biologists who are interested in understanding molecular mechanisms of cellular signaling in neurons. We are interested in understanding the molecular assembly and function of neuronal synapses. We conduct protein purification from brain preparations, protein identification, tissue culture-based validation, and structural biology to achieve the above goal. Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory (CSHL) is located in the suburb of New York City and offers unique opportunities to learn from and interact with scientists from various fields through CSHL courses and meetings. For more information, please visit the laboratory website (http://www.cshl.edu/public/SCIENCE/furukawa.html) or contact via email. Qualified candidates must have solid experiences in at least one of the following areas: brain biochemistry, electrophysiology on brain slices, or molecular neuroscience. Experience in structural biology or electron microscopy is desired but not necessary. Candidates must hold PHD or expected to acquire PHD within 6 months). Please send CV, a summary of research experience, achievement, and interest, and three references to Hiro Furukawa by email at furukawa@cshl.edu
