Postdoctoral Fellowship In Epithelial Cell Biology : Nashville, TN, United States
The Vanderbilt University Division of Nephrology and Hypertension is accepting competitive applications for a renewable one-year postdoctoral fellowship in epithelial cell biology. Applicants must have a PhD, MD, or other advanced degree in life sciences and a track record of mentored research and publications in epithelial cell biology.
During the fellowship period, the successful candidate will determine the roles of fluid shear stress and substrate mechanics on transport and barrier function of tubule cells. It is expected that the successful candidate will compete for an NIH career development award (K01 or K08) during the fellowship and continue the investigations during the early phase of transition to independence.
