PhD position in Infectious Diseases and Immunology : Freiburg, Germany

We are currently looking for a highly motivated scientist holding a Master or Diploma in the areas of Molecular Medicine, Biology, Biochemistry, Pharmacology etc. for an innovative project on innate immunity to streptococcal infections. The transition of streptococci from being part of the intestinal microbiome to becoming invasive in a novel mouse model will be at the heart of the work.

The project involves state of the art methodology like multi-colour FACS, advanced imaging and gene arrays.

The work will be performed in a close collaboration with the Institute Pasteur and is integrated into a new collaborative research center (SFB) initiative.
