PhD position in Cell Biology : Charleroi, Belgium
A PhD position is available at the Institute of Molecular Biology and Medicine (IBMM) at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (ULB), Belgium. The work of our group aims to characterise the function of nuclear pore complex proteins in cell cycle regulation and cancer development. The project focuses on the role of the nucleoporin Nup98 in acute myeloid leukaemia, in particular on apoptotic signalling and DNA repair. For our studies we are using a combination of cell biological, biochemical, molecular biology and imaging approaches.
Applicants should have a strong interest in molecular and cell biology, in particular in microscopic and image analysis techniques including confocal microscopy.
The position will be financed by the FNRS (Fonds de la Recherche Scientifique) for four years and starts on July 1st, 2014.
