Molecular Mechanisms Underlying the Function of Epigenetic Regulators in Mice : 79106 Freiburg, Germany
Positions in epigenetics at the University Medical Center Freiburg, Germany
Positions for postdoctoral fellows and PhD students are immediately available to investigate:
Molecular mechanisms underlying the function of epigenetic regulators in mice
The projects will combine the phenotypic characterization of transgenic and knockout mice with genome-wide epigenetic, proteomic, and molecular biology analyses to identify novel mechanisms relevant to epigenetic gene function during development and human disease.
The group of Prof. Roland Schüle is a multi-disciplinary team with a focus on transcriptional regulation mediated by epigenetic regulators. We are combining molecular analyses in vitro with genetic approaches such as the generation of transgenic and knockout mouse models to connect basic research and comprehension of human diseases. Our laboratory offers state-of-the-art facilities.
You have a strong background in mouse genetics, molecular biology, developmental biology, or areas relevant to the outlined project. You are a highly self-motivated and goal-driven candidate with excellent communication skills and a good team player with a strong desire to develop projects with the assistance of the PI.
We offer a dynamic, highly interactive environment and a pleasant, international working atmosphere. Please send your application comprising (1) letter of motivation specifically stating relevant experimental experience, (2) curriculum vitae, and (3) at least one reference in English as a single PDF file tosabine.kandzia@uniklinik-freiburg.de.
