POST-DOCTORAL POSITIONS IN STEM CELL RESEARCH

Postdoctoral fellow positions are available in the laboratory of Eirini Papapetrou M.D., Ph.D., Associate Professor, at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York. The Papapetrou lab harnesses reprogramming and genetic engineering technologies to develop new models of hematopoiesis and hematopoietic disorders, based on human pluripotent stem cells, to study disease pathogenesis and identify new therapeutic targets. Current projects in the lab focus on new iPSC models of myelodysplastic syndromes, leukemia and inherited bone marrow failure and use genetic and chemical screens. The position offers excellent opportunities for publications and career development in a stimulating working environment.
Highly motivated individuals with a strong interest in translational stem cell research and with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced lab are encouraged to apply. Applicants must be recent Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. graduates in cellular biology, molecular biology, genetics, developmental biology or related fields. Prior experience in culture of human pluripotent stem cells and/or primary hematopoietic cells, as well as a track record of prior publications is required. Background in at least one of the following: molecular biology, lentiviral vector construction and production, mouse work or bioinformatics are strongly desired.
