The Institute of Pharmacology at the Biochemical-Pharmacological Center of the University of Marburg (group of Prof. Dr. Thomas Worzfeld; www.bpc-marburg.de) invites applications for a PhD position in the field of Cancer Research and Pharmacology.
We are studying the biological roles of the semaphorin-plexin signaling system in cancer and during epithelial organ repair (PNAS 2014; J. Clin. Invest 2012).
We apply molecular and cellular biology techniques, biochemistry, advanced imaging, generation of constitutive and conditional mouse mutants, BAC transgenics in mice, and histology.
We are seeking for an enthusiastic, highly motivated and creative student. A background in molecular/cellular biology or physiology would be advantageous but is not required.
