A three-year PhD student position, Medical Bioinformatics at the University of Rostock, Germany (Rostock)
A three-year PhD student position is currently open in the Medical Bioinformatics group at the University of Rostock, Germany (http://www.ibima.med.uni-rostock.de/), to analyze genomic and transcriptomic data in a medical context.
The successful applicant should have a master's degree and a strong background in computer science and biology, including proficiency in at least one major programming or scripting language (such as R). Experience with next generation sequencing analyses is a plus. Excellent communication skills and knowledge in spoken and written English are very helpful.
