PhD student position in stem cell biology : Lausanne, Switzerland
We are looking for a talented, dedicated and enthusiastic scientist holding a master degree with a strong interest in molecular biology and stem cell biology.
The project will involve the development of new molecular biology tools to investigate molecular mechanisms of cell fate choices. Candidates are expected to have strong interests in fundamental questions of stem cell and developmental biology, as well as a solid background in molecular biology. The project will involve a broad range of techniques such as DNA cloning, generation of cell lines using lentiviral vectors, classical biochemistry techniques, live imaging of stem cell differentiation and high throughput sequencing and bioinformatic analysis.
Our laboratory is part of the bioengineering institute at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), one of the top-ranked universities in Europe. We use a broad range of molecular, cellular, imaging and bioinformatics tool and work in close collaboration with computational biologists to foster a highly interdisciplinary environment.
